We’re Raising $100,000 to Bring Mindfulness to Schools

For seven years, BeWell in School has given students, teachers, and school communities the tools and language to self-regulate, so kids walk into class ready to learn. Help us raise $100,000 by December 31.

Helping Schools Move from Reactive to Proactive

A dedicated BeWell Room, trained BeWell Teachers, and daily regulation practices give students, teachers, and school communities the tools they need to manage big feelings before they take over the school day.

Right now, more than 750 students across three Nashville-area schools have a dedicated space to regroup when the school day gets to be too much. There, a trained BeWell Teacher meets them in regulation, helps them breathe and move through big feelings, and gets them back to learning.

Over 40% of our budget comes from generous members of our community. Between now and December 31, every gift, no matter the size, helps keep this space open for students who rely on it.

Help Us Maintain a Safe Space for Students

A Place to Reset, Not React

In the BeWell Room, a trained teacher helps students regulate, name their feelings, and get back to learning. Last year, we provided over 1,500 moments of support.

Support for the Entire School

We supported more than 90 educators with the tools to meet students with regulation instead of punishment. 92% of partner school educators say teaching self-regulation is important.

Skills that Outlast the School Day

Students take their breathing tools, language, and affirmations like “I am strong. I am brave.” home with them and into high school, college, and beyond.

Your Gift Reaches Far Beyond the Classroom

The skills students learn with BeWell in School stay with them long after they leave the classroom. The breathing strategy that helps a student calm down today might steady them on their first day of high school, and the affirmation they say in the BeWell Room this year might be the one they repeat before a job interview twenty years from now.
